Update: +81 Days from BMT. 187 Days in the hospital vs. 30 days at home. It is very hard to update when not a lot is changing. BD is still in too much pain in his abdomen from the GVHD (Graph vs. Host Disease). He is still testing positive for the BK virus that takes its toll on his kidneys and bladder. They are changing up the meds they are giving him a little bit...trying to hit the virus by going to 3 times/week, instead of just once. BD has been going outside every other day to walk, usually being wheeled down in a wheelchair...today, no wheelchair. After walking, whether it be outside or laps, he is always exhausted and has to take a nap. But, he is the one who pushes himself to do more. He is awesomeness. By far, the best moments in my life are the ones where I get to lay next to him and hold his hand while we fall asleep.
