Update~~Attached is an updated look at the visible solar disk on Friday. Solar activity declined to very low levels this morning. Region 2146 is now located off the west limb and out of direct Earth view. Region 2149 in the northwest quadrant is showing some new spot growth to the south of the main core and will remain a threat for at least C-Class solar flares. All other visible regions are currently stable. No Earth directed coronal mass ejections were observed during the past day~Yet another period of southward Bz overnight was enough to help trigger additional geomagnetic disturbances. NOAA issued at watch Friday morning for minor G1 level geomagnetic storming. Sky watchers at high latitude should remain alert of it is dark outside.`` Solar Flare Risk > M-Class: 10% ....... X-Class: 01% ..Also > Farsided Eruption ~ Visible. on Blue Solar Disc Image Attached..... ~A coronal mass ejection (CME) observed on Thursday afternoon initially looked to have originated near the NW limb, however new coronagraph imagery courtesy of LASCO C3 shows that this was a fully farsided event. The plasma cloud is heading completely away from Earth. The source appears to have been an eruption around old region 2144 from the previous rotation. STEREO Behind EUVI imagery first detected the event beginning after 16:00 UTC. The CME first became visible in STEREO Behind COR2 imagery at 17:54 UTC. We will not see the return of this active region until next week~ Stay Tuned~ Enjoy You Weekend All~
