Update: But first how many of you really really believe in the power of prayer? I know my prayer warriors do, but for those non-believers I am here to tell you that you are missing out! I drove to Cleveland yesterday because I was told my sister was going back into surgery this morning to repair a leak. They would be opening the same incision on her abdomen (which she is cut from breast bone to pubic bone) to find the leak because the CT wasnt clear enough because of the abscess. She had started throwing up the abscess drainage because it was backing up and not draining fast enough so they placed an NGT which relieved that issue. Dr. Kareem came in last evening and opened more of the section where the abscess is and left it open so it could drain. He talked to us about what was going on, what to expect, etc. He also told us she is still septic WBC is on a teeter totter one day goes down a couple then shoots through the roof, they are continuing all antibiotics, she still has the stinking Flu :( HOWEVER...... a scan was done this morning before surgery time and guess what?! There are NO LEAKS!! he said if there are any it is a micro-leak and he feels it will heal on its own. His main concern now is this abscess and getting it healed up and getting her stable again. Now you tell me God doesnt work miracles and listens to every single prayer going up! Tears are flowing down my face as I type this and if I could hug each of you personally I would because you honestly have no idea what you mean to me and my sister. She has came so far and has a much longer road to travel but we are getting there- together with the help and support from our wonderful prayer warriors and dear sweet friends. Dont stop praying now!! Keep it up, without you all and God none of this would be possible! Much love -BB
