It was slightly ugly but not terribly so, the Dr simply refused to come onto the floor to do the discharge and had a nurse do it and they forgot about her PICC line and we had to stop half way home at Kaiser urgent care to get it flushed and bandaged. Not a word in the discharge papers as what to do with the PICC line. Kaiser said normally they would set up home health to come out or take it out but well, true to what weve encountered there, they simply failed to mention it at all or take it out or do anything about it. She sees her primary Dr at noon tomorrow so he can possibly remove it or figure out why they felt the need to leave it with no instructions or care. BUT she is HOME and is feeling pretty OK.
