Update: Dan is in the recovery room. They were able to do the surgery laproscopically, so were thankful for that. They got the lymph nodes they were after behind the esophagus, but couldnt see anything by looking or touch test. So we wait 24-48 hours for pathology reports. Gall bladder is also out. Dans bone marrow biopsy came back negative, so if he does have lymphoma, it has not spread to the bone marrow and therefore would not be stage 4. So we have lots to be thankful for, but we wait a bit longer for conclusive results. Again, thank you all for your prayers, encouragement and support.
