Update: Day 175 Either today or tomorrow Parker will be moving back to the NICU. Hes still requiring a small amount of oxygen. Hes been having some issues with gagging and spitting up...which has prevented him from moving forward with any more bottle feeds. Theyre not sure if its due to withdrawal, intolerance of feeds, or reflux. His weight gain has also been a little back and forth. All of theses issues stem from his CDH (congenital diaphragmatic hernia--the hole in his diaphragm that he was born with) The oxygen need is due to lung disease from the CDH and all CDH babies have feeding issues because their digestive organs were misplaced. So, it just makes sense for the CDH team in the Nicu to take back over his care. All of his issues are what they specialize in. We dont see this as a step backwards. We definitely feel like its the right move for Parker and a step in the right direction. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. Hes come such a long way and has overcome so many obstacles. We just have to be patient and continue to let God work. I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from Him. Psalm 62:1
