Update.....Decision was made to put feeding tube in Sarah so that her pancreas and organs around it can rest completely so that the inflammation can go down and pancreas can heel. Hoping that the 9 ml. cyst on her pancreas will re absorb in the next few weeks. First attempt at inserting the tube this morning was unsuccessful as it kept hitting the cyst and was extremely painful. Second attempt resulted in getting the tube inserted, but Sarah was supposed to be sedated. Apparently they did not give her enough happy meds and she felt the whole thing and was in a lot of pain. That makes this momma very sad for her! Also, disappointed in the radiology staff. Everyone here up to this point has been so wonderful and compassionate. However, this particular group of professionals seemed to be in a hurry and with little regard to the young woman laying on their table and in excruciating pain. But, that is behind us now. Start the feedings tonight, and get her pancreas back to normal. Need to stay positive. Keep the happy thoughts coming!!!!
