Update: First of all, thank you for the outpouring of support from all for this 15 year excellent driver from the Coca Cola Bronx Sales Facility. Second and not forgotten, we continue to wish the pedestrians family and most of all the victim a speedy recovery. All of our prayers are with him as well. The Executive Board of Local 812 and Senior Representatives of Coca Cola Refreshments were in communication all day yesterday regarding the situation. Coca Cola Refreshments has been very supportive of both victims both 812 driver & pedestrian during the tragic situation and has worked closely with Local 812 Recording Secretary John Ulrich and Business Agent Angel Martinez to keep Local 812 up to date at all times. Coca Cola and their support staff as well as Teamsters Local 812 and Crossroads Healthcare are doing everything possible to make sure the victims and their families are comfortable and have support. A special thanks to Bronx Sales Center Manager Hector Ruiz, New York Labor Relations Director Artie Yannaco, Eastern Region Labor Relations Director Luis Fonseca and Coca Cola New York Vice President Sam Campanella for their support, compassion, and understanding regarding this situation. We appreciate their strong commitment to working with the leadership of Local 812 to help all involved get through this very difficult time. We ask that all of you keep both parties in your prayers for their recovery, health and well being.
