Update/Help Required Ladies we now officially have domain names for our group :-) thebestlittlenetwork.co.uk lancsnetwork.co.uk Both currently divert to our FB business page The Best Little Network We also have email: [email protected] WEBSITE What I would love to get is a basic website for the group. Nothing overly fancy BUT I would love for it to look amazing and really showcase the network. So a few pages perhaps one to include the directory and one to include important dates/events. Open to suggestions on how we should set it out. Sooooo......Im hoping that one of you lovely ladies (who specialise in web design) might just, perhaps, want to consider, helping us out :-) I hate to ask but, would it be possible to create and host the site for FREE??? I know its a big ask but...I can provide all of the text, images and branding you need. Im working on the website badges at the moment (so you can all put something on your own sites to say you are a member of the BLN). As I am sure you are all aware, this is a completely FREE group. It was set up as a not for profit organisation and I am currently in the process of sorting out a bank account (run the same as a charity). I might need to discuss this at our next CHAFF though as well need to nominate or have other ladies included on the account etc. I also need to write some T&Cs so anyone in the group with experience in this would be welcome to assist! I can explain in more detail at one of our CHAFFs. So what I am trying to get across is: I do not make any money from the network and never want to. I set this up with the sole intention of helping local women in business (including myself) and everything to date has been purchased through my own funds. So I would really love it if we could get the site done free of charge :-) Its a great promotional tool for whomever designs it. TWITTER If anyone would like to take over the management of our Twitter account I would also be most grateful. I can provide the log-in details if anyone would like to nominate themselves :-) I honestly had no idea how fast the group would grow and also how much time is needed to ensure everything runs smoothly. So whilst I have been neglecting my own business a little the last few weeks, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know everyone in the network. But I do need to ask for help to ensure I keep everything balanced. GROUP DIRECTORY I think most people have posted their business details now. If you havent please follow the set format used in the pinned post at the top of the page. If any of your details are missing, please do ensure you let us know. Katie Fairclough once again, would you mind just double checking for me that everyone who has posted their details is definitely in the directory. I am so sorry as I had meant to do this myself (Ive seen quite a few new ladies posting but it isnt linked to the main post at the top of the page). I promise I will pass on a little something special to say thank you when I next see you. Youve been fantastic. FORTHCOMING AWARDS Someone suggested this morning that we could have a list of forthcoming awards (i.e. Wave Culture & Lifestyle, BIBAs, Red Rose etc etc) and dates for the entries to be made by. This is a fantastic idea. Would someone be able to create this as a list/word doc/post and put it on the page for everyone to see?? CHARITIES I have seen quite a few posts now regarding charities. I think it is fantastic that we are all able to support such worthwhile and deserving causes. I feel a warm glow when I see so many of you wonderful ladies donating goods/services to them (you should be so proud of how you are able to help them). I just wanted to say that if I dont respond to every request it isnt because I dont want to donate, its simply because Im running out of time to sort things out. Im more than happy for donations to be collected from my house though if that helps anyone moving forward. VENUES Due to the fantastic success of the group and the number of ladies now confirmed for our next two events (CHAFFs) I am still working on new venues to accommodate everyone. Ive got De Vere still to get back to me and Im speaking to a hotel chain on Monday. That said, if anyone else knows of anywhere thats local which can accommodate 25-45 ladies at any one time, please can they let me know :-) Sorry to go on....but I feel much lighter now! So Ill leave all of this with you and see who might be able to help ..... (*smiles sweetly*)
