Update: I made my own laundry detergent several months ago. I just finished the first quart jar of detergent - it lasted 3 months! Not only did it cost only a few dollars to make, but 1 jar lasted that long, and the batch I made gave me 2 jars. So I have another 3 months to go before I even need to think about making more, not to mention that I still have plenty of ingredients left to make another batch and will not need to buy anything else. A couple dollars for 6 months of detergent versus $15-$20 for Tide that will last maybe a month. I will take the cheaper option, thank you!
