Update: I ran Tom up to the cancer center because the dr ordered a CBC and metabolic panel. If his white count was elevated then it would be a no go for todays procedure. His white count is not elevated, so he will undergo the celiac block as scheduled at noon today. The Dr said that fevers for no apparent reason will be common at this point. I say my God is bigger than these fevers and that by His spoken word they will stop!! I will update this evening after we get back home again and let you all know how the procedure went. Prayers that The Lord will guide the Drs hands and that he will be able to access, find and penetrate the correct nerve to help with the pain. For those who may have missed the post last week, the procedure they will do today is to kill the nerves that feed the liver to help the pain. Tom is maxed out on pain meds and the hope and prayer is that this will give him relief from some of the pain associated with the tumor in his liver only. If todays procedure is successful, then on Friday we go back and they will permanently kill the nerve. There are risks involved but the Dr feels the benefit will out weigh the risk. God is in control, and He walks beside us every step we take. Thank you all for your continued support.
