Update/Information on today: So, Anna has one of 2 things. Its either the WORST case of hives they have EVER seen (straight from her Oncologists mouth!!!!) OR, its something called Erythema Multiforme Minor (go ahead and look that up). Either one, is to be treated the SAME way, with higher powered (higher then benedryl) antihistamines (called Hydroxyzine), zyrtec, and zantac combined. The red raised areas/bumps are itchy, and painful to the touch. How she got this??? No one really has an answer...what we DO know...it was NOT a reaction to anything she ate, wore, or took as a medication (so an allergic reaction). They are thinking it is something still lingering in her body, left over from the nasty virus she has been fighting for the last 3 weeks...yes, the same virus that has landed her in the hospital twice! Today, it was decided, that they wanted her back in tomorrow...so we ultimately also decided to leave her IV in. Therefore, we are being VERY careful here at home with her NO NO being worn at all times (the cast that covers the IV). Her Onc. drew, with a sharpie, on some of the large red areas, and marked what WAS there, so she can see any difference in them, tomorrow. It was a LONG day...getting there at 8:45am, and she got home around 3pm. Hoping we have concrete answers tomorrow! Thank you to ALL of you that chimed in with ideas...EVERY ONE of them, I asked about! (from rheumatic and scarlet fever, urticaria, autoimmune reaction, different types of strep, Measles, allergic reactions to ANYTHING, including antibiotics, and more....they are NONE of these, Dermatology and the Oncologists ruled these out!) :) THANK YOU for caring! And THANK YOU for praying! For now, we watch and wait, and well be going back in tomorrow morning. THANK YOU
