After a 16 day long search operation, Army tuesday managed to neutralize a militant in Wadarbala forest area of Handwara in frontier distt Kupwara. Army had launched a combing operation in Wadarbal forest on 13 Oct this month, after some Ultras attacked a patrolling party killing an army soldier Sahib Singh from 30 Rashtriya Rifles. Army soldiers from 6,21,30 nd 31 RR who wr part of the searching operation confronted with the militants during afternoon hrs nd in the ensuing encounter, one unidentified ultra ws killed while an army soldier also reportedly suffered injuries. Army told QNS that search operation would continue till all the militants in the forest are not neutralized.. QNS.
