Update: Mama dog will be spayed Wed the 9th. Im hoping and praying for a miracle and someone will foster or a rescue can help:( Heres her story: I thought this day would never come!!! I FINALLY caught Walmart Mama dog!!!! She has been on the mean streets of Corpus for at least 18 months and SO MANY tried to catch her. Someone said they saw someone dump her at Walmart. My friend Stephanie messaged me at 7:00 am this morning she almost got hit crossing Saratoga and was on Walmart side but then she was gone. Then I get a call from our guard at Bent Tree there was a brown dog that almost got hit 2X crossing Saratoga and was laying on the sidewalk near heavy traffic and she may be hurt. Well I rush over in my car and parked. I knew I couldnt get her in car so I just said to myself just call her since she knows my voice and see if she follows me 7 blocks back to my house. Well I never looked at her, just kept calling her while walking and she FOLLOWED. I had my doubts she was going to follow me in my back alley gate but SHE DID!!! I couldnt believe my eyes, I FINALLY caught MAMA DOG!!! Well then she knew she was caught and broke one of our boards to try and get out. I did not have my cell phone it was in car so I rushed on computer and my wonderful friend Stephanie saved me. She rushed over and took us almost an hour to couch her in crate. I had to put the crate by the gate where she knew that was her only way out. It was hard but with Stephanies help we did it. The crate was closed and I couldnt believe I FINALLY caught Mama dog. I had a place for her months ago, but now they cant help because there completely full so Im PLEADING for a secure foster. She wants to trust and needs someone to work with her. She WILL escape a backyard so she needs to be inside to be rehabilitated. Im willing to buy a large outdoor escape proof kennel to help if needed. A BIG THANK YOU TO The Barnyard Sanctuary, Mary Meyer-Guzman, she is safe for now until she is spayed. PLEASE share this is a rescue that I just cant let go. She has haunted me for a year not knowing if she was still alive at times. Myself and many others have been trying to catch her for a LONG TIME. PLEASE BE HER HERO:( Im PRAYING for a miracle.
