Update: Mama made it through the night and is eating well today. Only 1 puppy survived tho :( We are so sad to report this devastating news. We have the surviving puppy on a bottle now (thanks Linda!!) and have high hopes that it will survive. This is one of those very trying times in rescue. We had some major highs and lows in the last 24 hours. Sometimes despite all the care in the world, we cant save them. It shatters our hearts and souls and we wonder how we can keep going. Today we take solace in knowing that even tho the puppies didnt make it, we saved Momma. She would have died trying to give birth last night... Now she has a chance. The rescue that has so graciously accepted Momma is in need of donations to cover her emergency care from last nights the total is almost $500.
