Update Mar30- Had a Good conversation today with Chris Parker. One thing I can count on from chris that I respect,...if we ever have a problem over judging,or stuff said on this page that might have been taken the wrong way, we pick up the phone and call each other. Remember doing this? actually calling someone and voicing your opinion , even those they might not want to hear it? thats what we did. I said some things chris probably didnt want to hear and he did the same. Now, we were both in agreement that this page has turned into a merry go round of stories of blame, over stuff from the past. which does not help us to move forward. Now, Chris was on the right track originally by starting this Time for Change stance, which was suppose to be about, making positive change by calling for a Meeting or Election. This should be the focus, and we should all start fresh and not dwell on what got us here. But rather what We are going to do about making change? This starts with everyone! all members, and to do this we should work within the current structure , weather you think its biased or not. pay for your 2014 membership, support the up-coming shows, and when the time comes, be at the AGM meeting! until then, be supportive, but be positive! there is no reason why our province shouldnt be the strongest in canada? Per capita, we have more athletes involved in this sport then anywhere….period. What I would like to see: 1) Chris welcomed back as a judge and judging along side Lori-ann at the BCs. 2) a Meeting to have more executive positions added from the current 3 to 5. 3) An Election called...but everyone has to be supportive of who remains in their position or whom ever the new Executives become. 4) When Athletes qualify for the nationals, the whole I train with this team ego is dropped and we come together as a province and support each other on the national stage. 5) A year end banquet to present awards for most inspirational athlete, Team awards, athlete bursaries and funding paid out. 6) Change the Name of this page to BE THE CHANGE time for change is negative and sounds like your trying to force people out.
