Update: Matthew continues to have high fevers ranging 102.9 to 104.6. Per yesterdays morning rounds, the Onc team are continuing with daily cbc & full panel draws since he has not cleared his high dose methotrexate. They also had another chest x-ray done, cultures and tests for infections including a nasal drip for sinuss. We havent gotten any of the result back .....expect the sinus, which was clear. With his high fevers now going on the 5th day, a full body CT will likely be done if yesterdays tests still show nothing. Matthews breathing is still distressed but the good news is that his blood oxygen level is good and his blood pressure staying stable. They are however becoming more concerned about his breathing and are watching it closely. Yesterday during morning rounds, a Oncologist specializing in VHR Leukemia from John Hopkins joined in to listen and review Matthews case. I have to say I was happy to see that COGs and non COGs reviewing and sharing information in hopes to improve our childrens health. Thank you ~
