Update: My goodness, what a week! One week ago, Skyler and I - TopicsExpress

Update: My goodness, what a week! One week ago, Skyler and I called 911 to take James to the hospital because he was acting strange. We never anticipated it would result in a week stay in the hospital for out little man. His still on a constant GoLytly feed and isnt pooping as much as I had imagined in my head. His first few poops were big - huge! They had a lot of consistency to them and seemed somewhat painful when they were being worked on. Now, he has been having frequent bowel movements but there is no consistency to them. Mostly water but not clear yet. We have to wait for them to be clear until we get the green light to go home. He got some blood taken today to check his electrolytes. James has been having several storming episodes a day. They stink! Today his heart rate reached 200. These storms are a lot less intense than his original ones in the PICU and only last 40 minutes or so (as opposed to the 20 hours he previously stormed). James got a pretty decent nights sleep last night with a few interruptions for a diaper change. I dont anticipate him being back to normal while he is here in the hospital. He is definitely more comfortable at home and usually excels once we get there. Im freaking out over missing an entire week of therapy last week. With this week being thanksgiving... His therapy schedule was already limited. Im eager to get James back home and feeling better so he can really progress in therapy. He really enjoyed watching the football Dolphins tonight with all of the excitement of the game. We have been talking about Santa and its awesome to see James face light up when we do. He LOVED Santa last year and discussed him for a solid six months after Christmas. We will start setting up the house for the holidays this weekend. Our Christmas pictures were scheduled for last week. We obviously had to reschedule because Im only willing to do one photo shoot in the hospital and those were Anthonys new born pictures (for those who will be getting our Christmas cards... They will be VERY late). James had a lot of time today with grandma and pretty mama. He is getting so incredibly spoiled its unreal! He will no longer sit alone, it must be in someones lap. No one can say goodbye or he freaks out. It is very clear to see he understands what is going on around him. He just went to bed (so early) and hopefully has a good nights sleep. Clear poop, clear poop, clear poop. 🙏🙏🙏 🐢👊 Jenna
