Update: Name: Woodman Saddle Fire August 10, 2013 0900 Update Summary: Firefighters are responding to a lightning caused fire one mile east of the Blue Mountain Lookout on the Missoula Ranger District, at about 5,000 feet. The fire was reported to Missoula Inter-agency Dispatch last night at approximately 9 P.M. Two engines responded last night and one remains on scene. A portion of a Fire Use Module is also currently on scene (five firefighters). No structures are currently threatened and no closures are in place but fire managers are asking the public to avoid the fire area to ensure public safety. Recreationists should avoid the Motorcycle Trail one mile east of Blue Mountain Lookout due to helicopter operations. Motorists should also expect fire operations traffic along the main Blue Mountain Road (Road 365) and use caution. Location: One mile east of Blue Mountain Lookout, south of Road 365 Size: Three-quarters of an acre Containment: 0 percent Resources: One engine, one Fire Use Module, one Type II helicopter on scene.
