Update On The Children Victims of Boko Haram Beyond the rabid, - TopicsExpress

Update On The Children Victims of Boko Haram Beyond the rabid, caterwauling Political malcontents, there is a life. Beyond the contrived certificate non-event, there is a life. Beyond the ethnic chauvinists, religious bigots and economic saboteurs who are benefitting directly and indirectly from incompetence and corruption, there is a life. Lives as depicted by the picture in this update. These are children orphaned by Boko Haram. Loitering in camps for Internally Displaced Persons in Yola (we use to see that in Sudan, Somalia etc). They have only the cloth on their back, living on noodles and some other gruel. These children in their early stages of growth are living on maintenance ration. There is nothing called school for them. Who shafted these children? Who failed them? Who sold them short? You may think this cant happened to me but when it happened in Somalia, Rwanda, Sudan; we said the same thing and it is here. Starring us in the face Special thanks goes to The Learning Place, Lekki who has pledged their entire Valentine haul to these children. We are eternally grateful to Lekki Football Club, they have asked us to give them a proposal so they can take responsibility for the education of some these children up to University level. We are still getting calls and pursuing encouraging prospects. We thank donors who are dropping off clothes at various collection points. Our thanks I to Akinyemi Adegbola, Hakeem Johnson, Bayo Omisore. They are Nigerians in Diaspora who have sent us money. We are amazed by the responses we are getting on this issue and it looks like we are unto something big in the name of these children. Again, fate thrust this on our plate. We are learning fast, planning and fashioning out the best strategy. I thank the CoH CORE for their backend service. There is no reward for good, other than good. Today is our virtual Town Hall with Dr. Sam Amadi, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission at 6pm - Nigeria time within the Circle of hands group. Please log in to ask questions and get answers. Thank you!
