Update: RN called me while I was driving to my class tonight. I thought I wasn’t going to know until the morning. Good news - Cancer has not spread to the other breast! Bad News - There is a second cancer tumor in the left breast. It is significantly larger than the one that was originally found. I swear she said it was three inches, but maybe she said it was 3 centimeters. All I remember was that it was BIG! I asked what stage she thought it might be and she said it looks like stage two, but she can’t confirm that because she is not the doctor. She also said it didn’t look like it was in the lymph nodes, but again, the doctor has to confirm. I asked her what this means for me and she said that more than likely, and this has to be confirmed by doctor, I will need chemo first to shrink the cancer, then a mastectomy, then more chemo and reconstructive surgery. I dont know about radiation. I need prayers that it is not in the lymph nodes. RN said it doesnt look like the cancer spread to lymph nodes, but the doctor will have to be the one to confirm. I know I will get through this. This is a bigger bump in the road that I did not want, but will have to work through. I have great support and thats all that matters to me besides getting better. Thank you everyone for your thoughts, prayers and support. It really means the world to me.
