Update: Red-tailed Hawk - HBC Hwy 126 The hawk we received late last week (after being hit by a car) is doing well. Many thanks goes out to Bend Veterinary Clinic for allowing our veterinary team to use their anesthesia and radiology for our wild patients. One of our awesome volunteers, Karelia, accompanied us for this birds radiographic procedure. This hawk suffered significant head trauma and a fractured left ulna. He is being kept with very limited activity, so as to not cause further damage to his wing. The broken bone is in good alignment, so we do not need to do surgery. We expect this guy to do well in recovery and we anticipate his release in early spring. :-) #inbend #wildliferehabilitation
