Update: Sat. Jan 10th to Tues Jan 14th SAT Jan 10th was a good yet tense day for TommyJ still trying to get him through the morphine withdraws. TommyJ was a little fussy when he was awake, and Mommy got to cuddle and Hold him. We had a few visitors Xanya and Rory, Alex, Let, Tia Sylvia, Tia Beatrice, Guru, and Sonjia. Too Alex bought him some mini boxing gloves that each set will signify surgery that he fought and won the battle. THANK YOU Tio Alex we love them. SUNDAY Jan 11th was a better day, Nana Di and Auntie J got to spend the morning with TommyJ while Mommy and Daddy relax a little. TommyJ was still a little fussy but nothing some love and attention couldnt take care of. Tia Beatrice and Tio Sergio spent some time with us visiting. TommyJ was not having Mommy and Daddy leaving this night. He wanted to be held and bounced, and was content. TommyJ weighed 4lbs 10th and is now 16.5 inches long. Mommy started to to feel so well this night so Daddy took her to urgent care, Mommy had two infected ears and start of sinus infection. Not good when you can be sick to see your baby. Tia Norma cane to visit from Tucson and got to hold him for a while till they had to leave. Mon Jan 12th Mommy stayed home sick. Daddy and Tia Very went to spend the time with TommyJ. This was a sad day for Mommy to not be able to be with TommyJ lots of things happened. TommyJ was weaned completely off the morohine, and his pic line was pulled. YAY no more IVs but TommyJ still figured out a way to get attention his osotmy bag leaked so he got a full bath with Tia Verns help. TommyJ also got moved into a big boy crib, he is no longer in the incubator. So happy to see him looking better and better. TommyJ is still being fed through tube until the cpap machine is removed we are hoping he will be off sometime this week so he can start bottle feeding. Today Tuesday Jan 13th Nana Di went and spend the day with TommyJ so Mommy can get better. Surgery on another baby closed the NICU for a while so she wasnt able to spend a whole lot of time with him. Daddy took over the afternoon shift, got to hold him and cuddle with him. Hes liking to be held I think we are in trouble, and he likes to be held held a certain way. TIA beatrice, Nick, and Mari visited for a while today. Daddy got to hold him today, and spend alone time after everyone left. Mommy was still home under the weather but still trying to get things done at home so we are ready for TommyJ to come home. TommyJ is weighing 4lbs 10oz and is now being weaned slowly into formula. Scarry for Mommy and daddy but TommyJ is now a term baby and the Dr feels he can handle it. TommyJ is digesting everything just fine. Thank you all for your continued love, support and prayers.
