Update Saturday 10/4 I ran in the Susan G Komen race this morning and then went straight to the hospital. Jamie had spent the night with Jake. Today was a fairly restful day. Jake started the day with a shower and breakfast. Then his company began arriving. His first visitors were 3 of his teachers (Mrs. Sims, Mrs. Glenn and Mrs. Harahus). He then went to his physical therapy for an hour. That was followed by lunch and a visit from his math teacher, Mr. Tinker. His sister and Aunt Megan and Uncle Chris also came to spend the day. After that we took a nice walk down the Greenway with Jake in his wheelchair. This is the first time he was outside in a week, so it was very nice for him. After that we had a visit with our friends the Francis and after that the Refsniders arrived while Jake was in the rec room playing foosball and air hockey. Later tonight when everyone left, Jake and I went and got salads from the cafeteria and now we are getting ready to watch a movie together. He is still wobbly while walking and needs someone close by, but his personality is definitely back to normal and I am noticing small improvements with memory. =) Thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers!
