Update: Sheriff Jerry Colson told Bigfoot 99 Tuesday morning that based on statements from a witness to the shooting and the results of the ongoing investigation that he is confident that no deputy from the Carbon County Sheriffs department was involved in the alleged shooting of a family dog in the Riverside-Encampment area over the weekend. The department, Colson said, has a good idea of who the shooter is but will not release that information at this time for the sake of the investigation. Sheriff Colson added the dog was reported missing on Saturday and its body has yet to be found. The investigation is on-going and the investigating deputy will meeting with the Carbon county attorney in the next few days. Bigfoot 99 will continue to follow and report on this developing story.
