Update: Sorry for no update yesterday (Friday 14th) with TommyJ not having such a good day mommy didnt have a good day either. TommyJ had a little low blood pressure so he was given a med to help with that, and his stats were up and down all day. TommyJ was on his 2nd day of antibiotic, and was started on a steroid to help his lungs get a jump start to healing. Our night nurse seemed to have turned things around and really put him in a comfortable place. TommyJ had a good night, and today was a little more calm day. Dr seemed to think that the combo of the steroid and the antibiotic may have taken him over the bump in the road. X rays today showed his lungs much improved, and TommyJ was able to be switched over to a regular ventilator. This switch will have him breathing with the machine instead of the other machine that was breathing for him. We had several visitors today. Tonight a we left him in the hands of our night nurse Dawn, TommyJ was in a good place and his stats seemed to have regulated more and more. We keep our fingers crossed that this progress continues. TommyJ is now 2lbs 13 oz, and its starting to show he is stretching, and getting thicker. Again thank you for your love, support, and prayers. They are all greatly appreciated.
