Update: Thank you Prayer Warriors, Bretts procedure for port removal went smooth! He will have to take it easy for a few weeks. No lifting, no sports! I was thinking when the surgeon was going over the instructions...this has been Bretts life this entire year! He has become an expert at things a child should never think about. But through it all he has been one of the strongest teenagers I know. From January until now ~thirteen was a year of trails and much sadness for Brett. His faith has remained amazingly strong! Gods light shines so bright as he has carried Brett and our family every step of the way. Cody Killough and Sarah Bell has been awesome this whole journey. The community as a whole has been with us. We appreciate the love, support and prayers!! Thanks to Mitchems Kitchen, our church family Friendly Chapel Baptist Church, our youth group (Beverly & Adam Martinez). Thanks to a caring sweet boy Peyton Huffman and Dena Fox you are so thoughtful!! Thanks Pat Denton, Patti Brown, Teena Willis, Fonda Poston and our sweet Georgia family Jeannine Taylor for all the cookies and candy you made for us, Brett loves it and so do we! His clear scans is a Christmas Miracle. Please continue to Pray without Ceasing for our family! We are so blessed and grateful for answered prayers!
