Update Those who received the smss will know that in addition to the two areas where cables have been stolen a kiosk also burned out in Dixon street. This is most likely as a result of overloading and illegal connections by those people in the area who are having back rooms. I find some of the comments sad to say the least. If we say nothing some will complain, if we tell you what we know, others become rude. Then there are those who have not read the widely published warnings on this page and in the Witbank news which explained the situation and have warned all on exactly what is happening now. I am as tired as all of you of the problems we have and can also complain and become insulting. That will however not help. Will it? Its really an eye opener for me to see how people react under pressure. Cable theft is a real problem. So is illegal connections, people bypassing their meters and in so doing stealing money which I need for new infrastructure, the state of our infrastructure, the limited capacity etc. But, the teams will continue to work and over time things will get better. This you have seen on roads and water, although it takes time. But for every two steps forward there is one back. Thats life and very true here.
