Update: Today was not the last of this chemo. The one before it (#4) was supposed to be and they added this one. Doctor K told me today that if it is showing any signs of working that this set of double chemo would be endless for me. Not something I want to hear but I guess if it does work then I must do what I have to do to survive. Blood work was done and the numbers are not good. Doctor K came in and said he needed to get a CT scan done right now. However I had just eaten and told him such and that a CT requires no food or drink for a certain amount of time. He said you are correct. Therefore, you need to be here bright an early in the morning to get this CT scan done. So this scan is in the morning bright and early. I asked the doc why such a rush to get me scanned and he said that from the blood work and other test that the bone and none marrow inside me is not fairing well. It is being beaten and worn thin which is why you are hurting in your joints and bones. He said I was back at over two units low in the blood area but does not want to give me anymore because once again they want my body to recover and make its own. Another reason for the scan are the headaches that grow daily. He is concerned (very) that something might be going on since the set of chemo before these did not work at all and the cancer just spread. So in the morning I have scans. Then have an appointment with mark in chemo. Then another with oncology and yet another with radiation which he said might be starting in a couple if weeks again as well. Doctor K said that all of this is why I am so tired and exhausted to the point I cannot get up many times especially after pushing my body like I do. But he said keep doing what I am doing when I can and he will keep giving his all on his end. And really that is all I can ask of him. But I will say he has and is going above and beyond for me. Therefore, I will continue to punch cancer in the bloody face as often and as hard as I can. And I know God is going to be doing his part as well. Angela said she was going tomorrow to make sure she gets the entire story from the doctor because I might leave out important parts. Lol. I havent thus far. Yet anyway. Haha. That is the gist of my day outside the scope of Applebees and going to Crystal Springs and getting caught in the flood on the way back to Brandon. I get to sleep in my tiny house (camper) tonight for the first time even though it is still in mom and dads yard. I love it. My space! Thats all I can remember of the day.
