Update: Tomorrow is going to be rainy yucky day. Our girl will likely be hunkered down staying dry. We spoke with some dog finding people that work with FOHA (Friends of Homeless Animals) when rescue dogs get lost. They have a trap large enough to fit Diamond and they made a few suggestions that we would love to have some help with. Diamond is a big dog and big dogs need food. If you are able AND are near the areas she has covered. Would you please consider putting out some soft food for her? She will remember everything and everyplace she gets food. I would particularly like to have help in the Piedmont area and on the DV side of 15 near BHS. Trying to get her to stop crossing 15 and to narrow her area. We cant put a trap out until we can narrow that area down. Then the trap will go down with cameras, and we will just feed her yummy stuff for a couple of days without the door going down. Then when she returns, we will get her. This is what has been advised by the dog rescue places and it makes sense to me! So time is the key, sightings are the key. We have to know where to put the trap. It is a 6x6 cage, so it is large enough for her to fit. I was having difficulty finding a trap large enough and the dog team has one and will set it up and watch. But before that we have to narrow the area down. So please put out a bit of soft food, cat food, dog food, bacon, dry food. Hopefully she will start eating it and stay by! Goodnight everyone. Felt much better after talking with the experts tonight. Dont be too stressed if sightings are few tomorrow. The bad weather will limit her from going out, but if food is handy, she might go to close places..
