Update and happy Sunday! I have no words to express my thankfulness for all the prayers/ support that have been said for my Mom! My mom sends her thanks and tears fill her eyes when I read your comments to her! She was released from the hospital yesterday, she has gained 20 pounds (although most of that is H2O weight from the IVs. Shes looking better than Ive seen in a month, eating more and drinking more too. Last night we celebrated my uncles birthday, with mashed potatoes meatloaf and pumpkin pie! I was so happy to see my Mom laughing with her brother, singing happy birthday to him and eating food. It is amazing how quickly ones perspective can change when life is threatened, all the irritations of life slip away, and simple appreciation for things like one more conversation, one more family memory, the sound of laughter and celebration are magnified. The docs took 3 scans but are not sure what happened, they say there was a temporary lack of oxygen to her brain but no brain damage. She was severely dehydrated and depleted her blood was a 6.5, now its 10.8. She has swelling in her legs and large blood clots, we are working on small walks to get her circulation going and physical therapy will begin tomorrow. There are some pretty dramatic indications that the cancer has diminished. Her chemo/ radiation has been suspended as the treatment was depleting her and more would be detrimental at this point. We are doing some alternative therapy, and praying for continued healing, thank you for the many suggestions you have sent and the prayers! It was great not to be on a hospital cot last night and get some real sleep. I am back at work today and catching up on email, If you have not heard back from me regarding paint, you will soon.
