Update as of 1/6: Julie is slowly healing and being weaned from sedation. We were informed that Julies ventilation tube will not be removed for two weeks due to the trauma and lacerations of her ribs and lungs. She is currently on blood thinners to help dissolve the three blood clots. Julie is opening her eyes and showing lots of movement in her hands and feet. There is an MRI scheduled today to check for trauma on her neck so that they can remove her neck brace. We will post an update with the results. Last November Julie went on a retreat in to meet the NYC Cardinal. Yesterday the XM Catholic channel 129 announced one of their dear NYC pilgrims is down and needed prayers. Father Leo and Tom Leopoldo gave a great tribute and sent their prayers. We appreciate everyones love, positive thoughts, and prayers.
