Update for 8-22-13: We Drove into Salt Lake City and we were going - TopicsExpress

Update for 8-22-13: We Drove into Salt Lake City and we were going to see the Temple and the surrounding sights. When we figured up that we would have to walk a ½ mile from any public parking just to get in the gates to see the Temple up close we realized maybe this wasn’t for us after all. We were content to take the pictures we were able to get and headed out for Soda Springs, Idaho. We headed for Ogden, Utah and decided to stop in Layton at the Cracker Barrel and have some coffee and breakfast. We then proceeded to drive to Soda Springs. I got very sleepy again so Pamela drove most of the way. I took a few pictures and then fell asleep. I woke up to Pamela driving into a Flying J as she needed some tea. I took over the driving chores again and drove on into Soda Springs with Pamela taking more pictures as we went as she had not been able to fill her quota on pictures because she was driving. We drove in to Soda Springs around 3:00 p.m. and drove around the entire town in 10 minutes. We checked at the JR Motel that I was seeing on line and they were booked up except for one night in a smoking room. We opted “NOT”. We went across the street to the Caribou Motel and got a nice cottage (small) for less money and it seems cleaner than the JR Motel anyway. We checked in for 3 nights, unpacked everything and went to find some TV trays or some kind of tables to use for our computers while in the room and then to see my Bro’ Tommy and his wife Yoly. They have a very nice house and Tom has done spectacular things with the deck/front porch and his yards. Everything is pristine. It is very nice. We visited for a while and Tom went to the hardware store to get some parts for his screen door latch and he proceeded to install it while we visited. We talked some and then we drove over to Grace about 10 miles away and had Mexican fare from an old converted Bus. The food was very good as was the company. We are having a rocking time. Tom drove the Charger back to Soda Springs and took us to the Soda Springs Geyser. It goes off every hour on the hour. I read up on this and the reason it does this is they have capped it so it can be controlled. It was pretty neat. We returned to Tom and Yoly’s and visited until after 9:00 p.m. at which time we returned to the motel and readied for bed. I transferred the pictures and then went to bed and forgot to post them. I woke up at 12:30 a.m. and posted them at that time. I am still awake at 3:00 a.m. doing this posting. I will post it and try going back to sleep. Everyone have a Wonderful, SAFE, Productive and Happy Friday and remember to SMILE out there.
