Update for Wednesday 8-21-13: Well we had an action packed day after we got started. We decided to go see the Great Salt Lake State park and the Antelope Island State Park. We went to The Great Salt Lake State Park first and it was just a marina and visitor center with a great view look out and lots of information about the Great Salt Lake. We then drove to Ogden, Utah and stopped in a little town called Bountiful. Pamela said the name reminded her of my mom and the movie “a Trip to Bountiful”. We filled up with gas and got 29 mpg. We then went to McDonald’s and had a little lunch and got some drinks. We drove to Antelope Island State Park and paid our $10.00 park entry fee. State Parks are not National Parks so Senior’s still have to pay. We spent about 4 hours touring this island and had a very unexpected visit by some Bison. Were we excited? They were right on the road and we got lots of pictures that I will be posting later. I even managed a power nap while Pamela was out being attacked by the birds and gnats. She has a picture. We visited the site of a working ranch on the island and we visited the oldest ranch on th island. Pamela took lots of pictures and did most of the driving while ere were on the island. I have been very tired. I am not supposed ot be out in the sun because of my medicine and it has me feeling a little poorly but I will be fine. We have lots more to see and do so I can’t be getting ill. We left the State Park after having a wonderful day and drove back into Salt Lake City and found the Steak House that our Hotel gave us another coupon for. It was called “The Ruby River” and the food was too good for words. We over ate but it was oh so good. We won’t be needing breakfast. We returned to the room after being tied up in traffic in SLC again due this time to road work. I seem to be able to find any road work that is going on. Pamela says I look on the computer to see where they are working that day and then I go get in the traffic. It was a STUPENDOUS” day and we are looking forward to some more like it. Our plans for tomorrow are to have our showers and coffee and drive into SLC to view the Temple and the other LDS buildings and then drive toward Soda Springs, Idaho to see T. Thomas Tucker and Yoly. We will have bite to eat somewhere along the way and should be getting there sometime in the early afternoon. After we get checked into a motel we will go see T & Y. We are so looking forward to tomorrow. Everyone have a Nice, Wonderful, SAFE and Happy evening and SMILE out there. I am going to bed. Very tired. Night all.
