Update from Amy Mellon Mitchell Im filled with emotions this morning....... My sweet lil Emma was fever free through the night but had high blood pressure issues. This morning her fever was back up to 104. Doctors are scratching their heads. All of Emmas tests have come back negative. They only know for certain we are still fighting the brain infection. We got the most amazing news of all this morning......... Emmas pathology report came back for her spinal fluid and it is still cancer free!! Praising God!! I am so thankful and my tears are flowing! Doctors still feel the chemo Emma was still taking is the cause for the high blood pressures. Emma is taking four different medicines just for her blood pressure and they still dont seem to be working. Emmas swelling is now down and shes lost the 10 pounds she had gained since weve been here in the hospital. Emma still isnt eating so tonight they will begin TPN IV feeding. I have never seen Emma on so many medicines at one time. I know they all have a purpose but they are taking a toll on my lil princess too. We are now in our third week here. Please keep praying with us that Emmas fever will go away as the infection gets better and that her blood pressure will get back to normal! I am still amazed at how God is shining through my lil Emma! God has this! Thank you for sharing our journey with us ! Those of you that have visited have truly lifted my spirits!! It gets lonely over here. Keeping our FAITH bigger than our fears ! Big hugs and love!
