Update from Amy Mellon Mitchell With tears I am so thankful to say just how amazed I am of all the loving support shown to us! Our Team Emma is strong and we feel it! Prayers are being answered! Yesterday I found myself in a place of being so scared with Emma being moved to PICU! Last night was tough and we got no rest at all but God was truly showing out! Emma was taken there to be put on a continuous IV drip but after getting there Emmas blood pressure was gotten under control with meds by mouth instead. Emmas port even stopped working and she had to be re-accessed. Emmas blood pressure was so high though that doctors feared she may have heart or kidney damage. So today they began an extensive work up to find out. The kidney part is normal praise God! We are still waiting on the heart test results. Emma has continued to have fevers so she has been put on another antibiotic to cover better. We have been moved out of PICU and back to 8Q. This is definitely a move in the right direction! My lil Emma amazes me........ I wish you could look in the window of a child with cancer and see just what these children have to endure on their fight each day. These children are all amazing! It hit me today that our battle is not against cancer right now but the side effects of the chemo. Im overwhelmed with joy of how far we have come on this journey! I dont know why Emma or our family was chosen for this journey but I pray we can continue to stay strong in our fight! Thank you for loving us and faithfully praying! Please keep praying for so many of our friends that are having tough times right now too! Keeping our FAITH bigger than our fears! Big hugs and love!
