Update from Dana: Good Afternoon ~ This morning we were scheduled for a Bone Marrow test that was "Canceled" due to the lungs not being healthy/strong enough to undergo surgery. The Bone scan came back negative :) He has been running a slight fever every afternoon which they are closely monitoring. He is still on oxygen as room level he is only at 91%. Jason and I have a meeting today at 3pm to meet with head Oncologist, Dr. Yim. Unfortunately, we will NOT have a diagnosis today :( The pathologist preliminary thoughts were one of the following: 1) Ewings Sarcoma 2) Rhabdo myosarcoma or 3) Lymphnoma; At this tiime they are ruling these out. They had to send the Biopsy to a Dr. Fletcher that I believe specializes in Soft Tissue Cancer. We should have the results by tomorrow possibly Friday. Dr. Yim will be going over treatment, side effects and when we need to start chemo, with Diagnosis to "Hopefully" follow by Friday. We do know the Cancer is Stage 4. It is in the right hip area, both lungs, and lower lumbar. We are fairly certain we are dealing with a "Rare" type of cancer. Please continue with the prayers, support and HUGGS...... We are feeling it all thru the amazing community of Cottonwood we live in as well as Family and Friends all over are reaching out and touching our hearts. Go "Team Taylor".....for those of you who do not know the Pediatric ribbon color is "Yellow" Please feel free to visit this FB page and/or caringbridge.org/ Taylor Andrews for continuing updates. I am continuing to send updates to those that are helping me to keep "Everyone" in the loop. Love the Andrews Family
