Update from Matt Albers: Without going into specific evidence and detail, I can tell everyone: Its worse than we thought. Considerably worse. Rich and I have reviewed the evidence thoroughly. Crimes... not violations... should be charged. We are working hard to make that happen. After reviewing the evidence, I am of the firm belief that, at the very least, the defendant(s), should NOT have the privilege of possessing any animal. Again, we will work hard towards that goal. Understand though, we are not the prosecutors or government officials who ultimately make those decisions. Please do not blame the people who have provided him aid. None of us had any idea about the true state of affairs until yesterday. The building of houses, etc, will have NOTHING to do with how this case unfolds. No damage was done. If anything, they provided some love and comfort to dogs who otherwise wouldnt have received it.
