Update from Peru (from 4 days ago): Hola friends and family, Its hard to believe that its only day 4. So much has taken place; just thinking about it all is both exciting and exhausting. Fasten your seat belts and enjoy the ride because I am going to take you into the very places where weve laughed, cried, celebrated and even witnessed the very presence of Jesus! When you hear the stories and see the needs of pastors, ministry leaders and so many others, you learn quickly that you are going to have to pray hard and give much! By friday, we had already given so much that I wondered if we would have enough money and supplies to make it to the end of the trip. God reminded me how Beth had preached about the 2 fish and 5 loaves. Before I could share this with the team, A FISH literally jumped out of the Amazon and into our boat! That fish took the words right out of my mouth. What a tangible reminder that God will supply ALL of our needs, even if it comes by an unexpected means! Later that day at Pastor Sinais Church, David brought down the house with his powerful testimony on how God transformed his life. If you could only see the faces of the people. They were so encouraged by the power of the Holy Spirit. And as I write this, I am getting encouraged all over again. Elidia preached her heart out! She shared the story of Zacchaeus and how God knows our names and that He wants to come into our homes and lives! The Holy Spirit was outrageous. A lady that was blind because of blood pressure was healed! A man with a hernia was healed! A woman who had an issue of blood for 6 months was healed. Knee problems and arthritis were healed, headaches were healed, babies that had fevers were healed. We were eyewitnesses to it all! Coming alongside our brothers and sisters financially is such a wonderful way to show others that we care about the work that they are doing and that we want to bless the work of their hands. Yesterday, the locals kids took us to their village. We met a missionary names Nicole and her husband, Osmar. There we got to witness their powerful ministry to these children. Afterward, we were able to anoint her with oil and pray for their family and ministry. What a wonderfully divine connection! Yesterday, the kids carnival was truly the epitome of more than you can ask or imagine! I shared with 300+ kids on Los Milagros de Jesus (the miracles of Jesus). And Rey was able to share his story on how God healed him 4 weeks ago from 10 years of blindness in his right eye. What a great way to show these kids and their families that God continues to heal. We saw how God has used Reys testimony to plant many seeds for Salvation. Shortly after, we asked if anyone wanted to take part in Gods greatest miracle of Salvation (through His death and resurrection) and literally 80 kids made Jesus the boss, ruler and king of their lives! Not only that but dozens received prayer from Noah about tooth aches, fevers and body pains... All were healed. Oh those smiles afterward were enough to enough to pierce anyones heart! God is so amazing and worthy of all of our praise!!!! Thank you so much for all of your prayers. All 6 of us (David, Beth, Noah, Rey, Elidia and I, (Jessica)) know full well that your prayers have been the fuel to make this journey. Thank you for your investment. Keep the prayers coming 2 more are on their way this morning (John and Jeff). All Glory and praise be to Jesus Christ, Jessica
