Update from Rev. Karen: TSRW!!!!!!! Its been 9 days since my surgery. I met with my surgeons over the past few days. They are both thrilled with my progress, results, and healing so far, as am I. My surgeon said that my sentinel node looks clean, she only needed to remove 2 lymph nodes, and my margins look great! Shes asking me to remain open to hearing what the oncologist has to say (my next step); however, she doesnt feel radiation is needed. So, I know I need NO further major treatment from here on out. Im totally off the pain meds and feeling great! My mom went home this afternoon - it has been a huge blessing to have her here. I cannot express my gratitude - first, to myself, for how I chose to take up this unexpected blessing, and secondly, for all of the prayers, love, and support from everyone at CSLDallas. I feel the love from each and every one of you! What a blessing this has been. In fact, I can honestly say it was the best birthday present that Ive ever received.
