Update from The Big Match. So proud of how Woodley Wanderers supported the Big Match. Well done to everyone involved. Just amazing. On behalf of all The Big Match Team, I would sincerely like to thank you for the support of The Big Match Kidz held on 31st May 2014. Thanks to your fantastic support, we were able to raise awareness of both The Brain Tumour Charity and Action for Children as well as raising to date, from the Kidz session alone, a staggering £18,224.02 with donations and sponsorships still coming in. The entire event raised a whopping £70,000.00. I felt the need to share with you what the two charities have said to us directly in relation to the event:- “We all know there is a price for cancer research and I cannot emphasis enough how much of an impact The Big Match has on our work. With the amazing total that has been raised so far and with this continuing to grow as sponsorship comes in; we can continue to fight to defeat this devastating disease. As you all know with every £250 raised we can fund one of the world’s leading brain tumour researchers for a full day in the lab; so you can see that as a team you have potentially brought us 4 months closer to a cure!
