Update from Tri-Lakes Cares re Black Forest Fire Victim Assistance: We will continue to provide case management, food, toiletries, clothing, household items, gas vouchers, mental health counseling and so much more. Our immediate needs have been generously met, however we anticipate that the victims will need continued assistance, so we are requesting the following items to keep our pantry stocked. Pancake mix and syrup Pasta and pasta sauces Peanut butter and jelly Canned chicken, tuna and beef stew Canned fruit Juice Salad dressings and other condiments Cleaning products (a variety of cleansers, gloves, dish soap, Febreeze, scouring pads, buckets and heavy duty trash bags) Paper products (Kleenex, paper towels, toilet paper) Gluten and sugar free items Please remember financial contributions allow us to be flexible with meeting evacuees needs more specifically 100% of every dollar goes towards disaster relief and not one penny towards administrative expenses we are in need of volunteers to help process donations that have been coming in. Please call 481-4864 to sign up for a shift. Due to community needs, we will be open extended hours for fire victim assistance and donation delivery during the following times. Wed. 9am - 5pm, Thurs. 9am - 8pm, Fri. 9am - 5pm. Remember that Tri-Lakes Cares is offering financial assistance for fire victims. We can assist with things like replacing glasses, paying for prescriptions, food, toiletries, clothing, household items, rent, utilities and more. Folks should call our case manager to make an appointment to review options. It is distributed on a first come first serve basis.
