Update from the City of Wauwatosa: Milwaukee Avenue Utility and Street Reconstruction Charles Hart Parkway Closed starting Friday, September 19, 2014 The contractor for the Milwaukee Avenue project will be closing Charles Hart Parkway beginning Friday September 19, 2014. The road will be closed to traffic between Menomonee River Parkway and Milwaukee Avenue until mid- November 2014, as the contractor prepares to work on the intersection of Milwaukee Avenue, 83rd Street and Ludington Avenue. Milwaukee Avenue will be closed starting Monday, September 22, 2014 The work on the Milwaukee Avenue, 83rd Street and Ludington Avenue intersection will begin Monday September 22, 2014 and Milwaukee Ave will be closed to through traffic between Church Street and 83rd Street until mid-November as well. Detours will be posted and no through traffic will be permitted. Menomonee River Parkway Short-Term Detour to Resume The contractor for the Milwaukee Avenue project will be doing a second short-term detour on Menomonee River Parkway for paving September 25, weather permitting. The road will be opened to traffic between Harmonee Avenue and Swan Boulevard, but with partial lanes closures until the base asphalt has been installed. Detour signs to North Avenue will be posted.
