Update l Watch and Act l #Springwood Fire (Blue Mountains) The bush fire in the Springwood and Faulconbridge area has burnt more than 3,300 hectares. Fire is burning within containment lines in the vicinity of Grose Road and Chapman Parade at Faulconbridge, west of Yarramundi and south west of Grose Vale, Grose Wold and Bowen Mountain. 120 firefighters have been working on strengthening and patrolling the eastern containment lines and will continue mopping up along accessible edges of the fire to minimise potential threats and minimise the possibility of fire jumping containment lines. There are no properties under immediate threat. However locals should still remain vigilant and monitor the situation. Residents in Faulconbridge, Springwood, Mt Riverview, Emu Heights, Warrimoo, Sun Valley Valley Heights, Blaxland, Woodford, Yarramundi, Grose Vale, Grose Wold and Bowen Mountain will likely see smoke in the area. Advice Residents of Springwood, Faulconbridge, Yarramundi, Grose Vale, Grose Wold, Grose Vale and Bowen Mountain should be aware that local road closures may occur at short notice.
