**Update on Catarina** Sorry for the delay on getting everyone up to speed on Catarina and all that has gone on. Its been a very busy weekend with not much sleep trying to care for this kitty girl. When we found her, it was the weekend and not many places were open but Sunday afternoon I took Catarina into 4 Precious Paws to be stabilized. The staff graciously agreed to meet me there to start getting her care going. She received oxygen and fluids as well as antibiotics and warming. It seemed to help quite a bit and she even peed on the table. The clinic did everything in their power to help this precious girl start on the road to recovery. I was able to bring her home and care for her overnight. Turning every couple hours, warm packs applied, and her mouth sprayed with Karo water for sugar and moisture. Today, we transferred care over to Animal Wellness Center and Dr. Cooney. I thought this was going to be the end for her but Dr. Cooney would like to keep trying and will stay for the next 12 hours or so while we continue to watch her and provide for her needs. If she does not start showing signs of improvement, we may have to humanely euthanize her. She has fought for a long time and we will not make her suffer if that is not whats best for her. But for now, we will continue to fight. A HUGE thank you to 4 Precious Paws for sharing most of your Sunday with Catatrina and Thank You Animal Wellness Center for continuing her care. We will say lots of prayers over the next 12 hours. We will have charges at both facilities. Folks may donate towards emergency care to help with instances like this that will arise in the future. The money ear marked for the CF will ONLY be used for sick or injured cats.
