Update on Cora! June 1st: Well the good news is that Cora is eating and not in any pain, appears very happy but the sad news is that she is still unable to walk although now she is trying! She has serious spinal disc ussues and our vet gave her a 50/50 chance of her ever walking again. she does have feeling in her right leg but her left leg does seem somewhat paralyzed at this time. We will not give up on her! due to her age 18 yrs old, we would never consider doing surgery on her, it would be so invasive, so we will continue to take a more gentle approach and will try acupuncture and see if perhaps that might help her. the same thing happened a little over a month ago, where one hour she was walking and the next she couldnt even stand up. She did make a full recovery then, and im sad that it did not happen this time. But boy she loves her food and loves to be cuddled and does still seem very happy. I have to express her bladder and help her poop every day, which she has no issues with. As long as I keep her clean and getting to still go potty 4 times a day she is a happy little girl still! will keep you updated on her progress!!!
