Update on Dad (Oct 18): Day 3 post chemo: Well another bump in the road ... or should I say a recurring bump in the road. lol Unfortunately, the bowel is leaking again, being caused by the chemo we are told. Much less draining than there was 3 weeks ago. The spot just wasnt strong enough to hold I guess. Hopefully we can get it healed up by the end of next week so it will withstand the next chemo on Nov 5. On a positive note, the dietitian dropped in today. She was VERY pleased with Dads diet. He is up to 156 pounds!! YEAH!!! Im some glad! I thought I was gonna have to go on a diet ... couldnt have him weighing less than me! Glad he took care of that so I didnt have to! lol He has had a good appetite for about a week and is eating well, resting well and not in severe pain for which we are very grateful! So while were on a thankful note, Id just like to say, we are SO thankful for all your prayers, your many encouraging notes, the beautiful cards youve sent and the food youve dropped off at the house ... we are so blessed to have so many wonderful friends!
