Update on Darnell Pegues: Thanks all for your prayers. Darnell is coming along slowly; taking meds for inflamed sciatic nerve and having a challenge getting comfortable in any position (still cant sit for prolonged periods and is off from work). Please continue to pray for his healing; I need his physical help with lifting boxes of books, etc. when Im getting ready for a speaking engagement--got TWO coming up this weekend. The timing on this whole thing is a challenge as he is retiring on Oct. 31 and his goodbye party at work is next Tuesday! Help Lord! We are encouraged. God is on the throne and He is orchestrating matters. Time to exercise FAITH. Update on my brother: Still challenged with the side effects of his latest kidney procedure. Going back next week to have stones removed from the other kidney. Please pray for him and his two daughters (their mom had open heart surgery yesterday, so they are really stretched trying to care for both parents and their own children). My brother lives alone and Im so sorry that I cant be there and cook for him, etc. while he is down. I KNOW where my priority has to be placed right now. Thanks for all your concern and prayers... Still learning to lean on HIM! NOT OVERWHELMED! Just casting ALL my cares on the Lord. Deborah
