Update on Douglas 12/02/14 We were told yesterday that Doug is in the High Risk range of having a relaspe of this cancer even if he goes into remission. He age and health are against him, and the doctor said that he had. Abnormal cells within the bone marrow itsself which showed him he would need a bonemarrow transplant. He was told to ask his brothers and sisters if they would be willing to donate their cells so he could have a chance to grow a new bone marrow free of cancer. He needs this transplant. It is the last thing the doctors can do from our understanding for him. He needs siblings because they share the same DNA they have the same mother and father. They have a 25% each of matching him so he needs as many as possible to donate. He has another 9 Days to see if he has Any cells growing back from his chemo treatment he just had. If his cells are growing he will be in remission and may get to go home for awhile if they are not growing he will have stay in the hospital and go through another series of chemo treatment only this time they will to our understanding wipe out his bonemarrow and all his cells completely and he will have to do the transplant. If none of his siblings match him the doctorsaid they would have to go into the worldwide database and look for a donor if we cant find someone who matches him in the family. Doug and I need your prayers as we go through this. It will been a long process and we need to know we have some prayer warriors sending up some prayers for us. We appreciate all the prayers and cards of love and concern and ask you to continue them. It brightens our day when the nurse brings us mail and it is a card of encouragement and love so keep them coming ok . We know that the Lord can heal him if it is in his will to do so. Thank you again and we look forward to hearing from you. I will update again later.
