Update on Emgee: Gordie (fka Emgee) is doing great! He and our other dog Rusty are inseparable- they love to chase each other around the yard (for about 1.5 minutes and then they decide they are ready to come inside) and play tug of war. He was so sweet to Rusty over the weekend after Rusty got hurt at the dog park. Gordie snuggled him and gave him kisses all evening :) Gordie is an excellent guard dog- he barks at every human or animal that walks by our house (but hes gotten much better about quieting down when redirected). He has a lot more energy than Rusty, but hes making a lot of progress with manners. He continues to get more and more comfortable in our home. He even instigates cuddles now! As crazy as he is sometimes, we cant imagine him not being part of our family now. Attached are some recent photos.
